Inspiration
The inspiration for this video was to capture the essence of the song "Bad Things" rather than a literal performance. The lyrics are about high fashion ("style truly impeccable" [00:44]), confidence ("i am a cinema make you watch" [00:24]), and a kind of hypnotic, unseen influence ("message in my music ingrain like subliminals" [00:50]).
This led us to the "Mood Film" concept. Our inspiration was a blend of high-fashion editorials, luxury car commercials, and neo-noir films. We wanted to create a video that felt like a "subliminal" message, capturing the vibe of driving through a futuristic city at night.
What it does
This video is an aesthetic statement. It's not a performance (like Shibuya Live) or a story. Its purpose is to:
Establish Brazy's brand: It defines his style as sleek, expensive, enigmatic, and futuristic.
Visualize the song's "drip": The entire video is a visual representation of the lyric "stay drip drip dripping like the ocean" [00:12]. Create a hypnotic "mood": The fast cuts, neon reflections, and close-ups are designed to be rewatched, allowing the "subliminal" message of the song to sink in. Showcase our AI's capability in rendering complex, dynamic lighting and hyper-realistic textures (like leather, chrome, and skin) in a dark environment.
How we built it
This was a 100% ai genterated. For enviroments we wanted to make all frames to be in Medieval setting with a mixture of Akira Kurosawa style. So using midjourney we tried to make background surrealistic red. Character was already created with midjourney for few months ago so we used character weight system in midjourney to have a consistent character. For cinematography, we used specific mm lenses from 20 mm to 70 mm for each shot to capture the image that we wanted.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenges that we ran into was make everything consistantly surrealistic.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to make this music video to convey stylish feeling to the audiences.
What we learned
It's always better to know classic movies. This time Akira Kurosawa was the big help for us.
What's next for Brazy's Bad Things Mood Film Music Video
This "Mood Film" acts as the aesthetic and tonal foundation for the "Bad Things" era. It complements the "Shibuya Live" performance video.
Having established the performance (Shibuya) and the mood (this film), the next logical step is to combine these elements into a full-scale Official Narrative Music Video. This film is the "style guide" for that story.
