Inspiration :

In India, the topic of mental health is not spoken about enough. Also, many people don't believe in getting therapy; either the therapy sessions cost a lot or they don't realize that mental health is similarly important as physical health. In recent times, the best way we can volunteer and stand against Physical and Mental Abuse is by supporting others people. One can also be an inspiration by sharing their journey and story.

What it does

We match people according to the problems and trauma they witnessed and group them accordingly. One can create group therapy sessions and take initiative to educate themselves and others regarding human rights. People can promote Activism by simply taking the initiative and supporting people. This not just makes other people more sensitive but we become more open to other's problems and get a way to fight them back by taking Inspirations. One can also put Events like fundraiser, clean up, donations which will promote neighborhood Volunteering

How we built it

We used MERN stack to create the website. We integrated WebRTC for allowing people to video chat for group sessions. For easy Neighboorhood Voluntering, we use MapBox API to sort and show the nearest Events so that u can volunteer

Challenges we ran into

Many of my team mates knew MERN stack but integrating Mapbox and WebRTC was a bit new for us. We learned about Web Sockets and peerjs and successfullt integrated it. We had a trouble connecting the backend for making groups of people with same trauma. After a bit of reasearch and refering other websites, we made a questionnery regarding this.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we build a functional web application in such a short span but learnt a lot on way and got a chance to meet new developers

What's next for BraveCom:

We will be hosting the web application to understand the response. Also we will be integrating the individual chats for each therapy group so that they can send messages meant for particular people only.
