Inspiration

I noticed how hard it is for small brands to find the right collaboration partners. Most tools focus on basic data, but not on shared audience culture or deeper brand alignment. I wanted to build something smarter powered by brand taste and personality.

What it does

BrandMerge helps brands discover potential near by collaboration partners by using cultural data. It matches brands based on shared audience preferences and more creating meaningful, taste-driven recommendations.

How we built it

Leveraging the Qloo Taste AI™ API and OpenAI ChatGPT API to generate detailed synergy analysis, growth opportunity forecasts, and collaboration ideas, making recommendations highly actionable.

Qloo & OpenAI Integrations: Using APIs connected through Lovable, we process brand profiles with Qloo’s Taste AI™ for audience overlap and run OpenAI GPT’s search/analysis for brand discovery and synergy insights.

Lovable as the builder tool: Every component user authentication, brand profile, permissions, and workflow orchestration is handled through Lovable.

Challenges we ran into

API Orchestration: Coordinating asynchronous Qloo and GPT processing while keeping everything within the Lovable workflow for smooth user experience and reliable results.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Designed a workflow that instantly delivers 10–15 high-quality, culturally aligned brand matches for every user profile leveraging Qloo and GPT APIs to return actionable results in seconds, not hours or days.

Transformed raw brand data into actionable insight tables: matches are presented with alignment percentages, synergy analysis, and growth opportunity forecasts, so users can immediately see value and plan next steps.

What we learned

Combining tools like Lovable for authentication, Qloo for audience overlap, and GPT for insight generation produces synergy greater than any single tool.

Actionable, transparent insights (showing why a match is valuable) drive user trust and adoption far more than black-box scores.

What's next for BrandMerge

Automated Outreach: Connecting brands directly with templates and opt-in warm intros. Marketplace Features: Brands can post collaboration opportunities and invite matches, making partnership formation even easier. Deeper Data Integrations: Bringing in more third-party audience, campaign, and influencer data.

Note About Demo Content For demonstration purposes in the demo video, brand profile Everlane was added. This helps showcase platform features and user experience. Everlane is used solely for demo video illustration, users can add their own brands during regular use.
