Inspiration
As a web designer, I often faced a significant challenge: clients without existing brand guidelines. This meant starting from scratch, relying on inspiration, and frequently going back to the drawing board when our visions didn't align. It was a time-consuming process that often led to frustration for both me and my clients.
This ongoing struggle sparked an idea: an app to streamline the branding inspiration process. Despite having no prior coding experience, I was determined to build it. I started developing initially in lovable but i was frustrated with the output; then i started from scratch in Bolt.new, and to my surprise, it began to take shape faster than I anticipated. What began as a solution to my own problem has grown into an app I'm now confident to launch.
What it does
Brandify is an innovative web application designed to streamline the branding process for Graphic or web designers and their clients. It tackles the common challenge of starting web design projects without established brand guidelines by providing a curated platform for visual inspiration and brand asset generation. Instead of endless back-and-forth, Brandify helps designers and clients quickly align on a visual direction, accelerating the website build process and ensuring client satisfaction.
How we built it
Brandify was built with a strong focus on solving a real-world problem I experienced daily as a web designer. Despite having no prior coding experience, I embarked on this journey, learning as I went. The development process involved:
Self-directed learning: Diving deep into web development fundamentals and relevant frameworks.
Iterative design and development: Building core features, testing them, and refining them based on usability.
Focus on user experience: Prioritizing an intuitive interface that makes the complex process of brand inspiration simple and accessible.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges We Ran Into As someone new to coding, the entire development process presented a steep learning curve. The editor functionality proved to be the most challenging aspect, consuming a significant amount of time to build and refine to a usable standard. Additionally, implementing robust image upload controls and certain dashboard backend functionalities also presented considerable hurdles. These technical complexities were amplified by my lack of prior coding experience, making every step a new discovery and a testament to perseverance.

Continuous iteration and feature expansion: Based on feedback, planning and developing new features like advanced search filters, collaborative tools, or integration with other design platforms.
Building a community: Fostering a community around Brandify where designers can share ideas and inspiration.
