Inspiration

As small business owners and creators flood social media with content, we noticed a common pain point — managing content across multiple platforms is overwhelming. Tools exist, but they often lack automation, creativity assistance, or seamless scheduling. This inspired us to build BrandForge — a smart content planning and generation system built right into Adobe Express.

We wanted creators to focus more on their vision and less on repetitive tasks. With AI suggesting post ideas, formats, and captions tailored to brand style and platform — we’re taking social media strategy to the next level.

What it does

BrandForge is an Adobe Express Add-on that empowers users to:

1. Plan social content visually via a drag-and-drop Content Calendar.
2. Generate 30 AI-powered post ideas tailored to their business type, platform, and vibe.
3. Schedule — all from inside Adobe Express!

How we built it

1. Stitch AI — for generating post ideas, captions, hashtags, and formatting tips
2. Figma — to prototype the user flow and screen design before implementation

Challenges we ran into

1. Integrating AI-generated content into a visual drag-and-drop UI took multiple design iterations.
2. Making the sidebar navigation mobile-friendly while keeping all core features accessible was a UI/UX challenge.
3. Time management — with multiple features and a tight deadline, deciding what to prioritize was tough.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

1. Successfully created a working prototype with 4 fully-linked Figma screens.
2. Maintained a consistent user experience across the entire BrandForge journey.
3. Designed with real users in mind — especially creators and small biz owners with limited time.

What we learned

1. How to structure Add-on development.
2. The importance of prompt engineering for generating brand-relevant and platform-specific AI content.
3. UI/UX design decisions must reflect end-user workflows, not just features.
4. Even a basic prototype can powerfully communicate a complex idea if backed by a clear flow and goal.

What's next for BrandForge

1. Add post performance analytics and auto-suggestions for optimal posting times.
2. Enable multi-language post generation for global brands.
3. Create a team workspace feature for collaboration between brand managers and designers.
