Inspiration

The inspiration behind Brand2Stock came from a simple observation: people interact with brands every day but rarely know the companies behind those products or their presence in the stock market. While using everyday items like laptops, shoes, or bags, I realized that most people are disconnected from the financial side of the brands they use. I wanted to build a tool that bridges this gap by connecting real-world products with company and stock market information in a simple and visual way.

What it does

Brand2Stock is an AI-powered prototype that allows users to upload or scan an image of a product and instantly discover the brand behind it, the parent company, and relevant stock market insights. The tool helps users understand which companies are behind the products they use and provides basic financial context such as competitors, industry insights, and market presence.

How we built it

The project was built as a prototype using a combination of AI tools and web technologies. The AI assistant was created to analyze product images and identify the associated brand and company. A landing page was designed to demonstrate how the system works and to present the product idea clearly. The goal of this prototype was to validate the concept and demonstrate how AI can simplify financial discovery through everyday products.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was connecting product recognition with meaningful financial insights in a simple and understandable way. Another challenge was designing a clear user experience that makes the idea easy to understand for beginners who may not have prior knowledge of investing or stock markets.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created a working prototype that demonstrates the core concept of Brand2Stock. The project includes a functioning AI assistant, a structured user flow, and a landing page that explains the product clearly. Turning an abstract idea into a tangible prototype was a major accomplishment.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how AI can be applied to real-world discovery problems and how important user experience is when presenting complex information like financial data. We also learned the value of quickly building and testing prototypes to explore new ideas.

What's next for Brand2Stock

The next step for Brand2Stock is to expand the prototype into a more complete product. Future improvements may include real-time stock data integration, a mobile application with camera scanning, better brand recognition, and deeper financial insights. The long-term vision is to create a tool that makes discovering companies and understanding markets as easy as scanning everyday products.
