Inspiration

Bad network and traffic experiences lead to this idea.

What it does

Employs both hardware and software to make roads safer and eco friendly, while providing useful data to travellers.

How we built it

We integrated a Arduino Mega with the ESP 8266 to communicate with a django rest framework API to collect and analyse data, using Here technologies' latest Beta, HarpGL to plot and visualise the data.

Integrating the hardware with the software.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

RealTime mapping, analysis and graphical representation of traffic, air quality and sunlight data.

What we learned

How to effectively transmit data from an Arduino using a wifi module. We also learned a lot about how traffic data is collected and analysed.

What's next for Brainy Streets

Scale up the prototype for real world implementation and deployment in an actual urban street environment.
