Inspiration
The frustrations of misunderstandings at meetings/presentations and the potential of helping people with hearing issues.
What it does
Brainstormer is an interactive slideshow for meetings, presentation and the aid of people with hearing disorders. Using speech recognition you can display pictures and images while you are talking. Our gesture control allows you to place and modify elements on your canvas. It saves your canvas in a PDF file, so you always can look up notes from your session.
How we built it
Using SpeechRecognition API and Leap Motion hand tracker, we could combine it into a PC application. A python stack runs the whole show.
Challenges we ran into
Mostly due to time we didn't manage to make a perfect interface and consistent aesthetics of the images.

That we actually got everything integrated and made such powerful and playful proof of concept.

Navigating the speech to text realm and how much you can do in 24 hours.

User testing and more development on user driven interface.
