Inspiration

You know those websites where you upload your resume and it gives you a score on how good it is plus suggestions on how to improve it? Well why not do exactly that to brainrot your resume or any document you own.

What it does

Upload your resume or any document that's a pdf or word, and we will use our sophisticated algorithm to brainrot the skibidi out of your document (Yes this actually took time and we had serious debates on the brainrot intensity score equation and factors). Why can't we be this locked in for stats or calc 🫠

How we built it

We used NextJS for the frontend. For the backend, we used FASTAPI and Flask. The FASTAPI server contains our Brainrot API, which can be used by anyone to programmatically add brainrot to their application! Do you need brainrot in your app? Use our brainrot API! (Github attached). The Flask server handles the upload and OpenAI API call for suggestions. The frontend is hosted on Vercel, and both the backend servers are hosted on Render. So there is three repos: One for frontend, one for Brainrot API, one for upload and gpt API.

Challenges we ran into

Honestly the biggest challenge we ran into was right at the end deploying. The Brainrot API went smoothly (FastAPI), but I despise Spacy models. Thank you danieldk, without your own Github discussions answer we would have been cooked.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

You know during this hackathon we all bonded. We all deepened and strengthened our connections over brainrot. We were there for each other during the hard times. We all formed a life lasting bond. Maybe the true hackathon prize is the friends we made along the way.
