Inspiration

We were inspired by both famous memes, icons and common brainrot like skibidi toilet and by fighting games like Mortal Kombat, resulting on the project that is both entertaining, ludicrous and fun while keeping a serious dedication to ensure the enjoyment of the players.

What it does

It runs a fight game to the likings of tekken and street fighter, allowing the players to choose a fighter from a list that include figures such as Shadow the Hedgehog, Freddy Fazbear and Hatsune Miku.

How we built it

We chose to build it on Scratch, utilizing functions, variables and commands to control different elements of the game like movement of the characters, navigation through the menu and sound effects.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to corelate sprites and how one should interact with each other, such as generating the menu and moving though the character selection, but were able to solve this problems by studying our code and other games that follow the same style.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we are able to go past our first issues and rethink how we approach the problem, allowing us to deal with it more tactfully and continue with the develop of the game.

What we learned

We learned to better utilize the tool Scratch, along with managing priorities and asserting what are our short term and long term goes with the objective of improving our production.

What's next for Brainrot Battles

We plan to continue adding characters and possibly include more costumes for the characters to improve the animations on the game by including more costumes.
