Inspiration
Have you ever thought about starting a food business but were too afraid to start because you were totally unaware of the demand and supply chain in a particular region or didnt understand the customer trends then the food forcast app is just for you
What it does
Food forcast app basically takes input from the users about the area/region they want to start a business, what time of year they are starting, their medium of marketing , what type of food they will be offering and the base price after which it gives the user the number of yearly demands/orders he will get in a particular area
How we built it
We basically collected real life data from kaggle and feature engineered it to our need including various other paramters/features like marketing/ logistics/ finances etc and used it to train our model which was based on a random tree classifier in a supervised learning category. Which was later connected to a react frontend using flask along with a REST api to communicate between the model and the frontend
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was to incorporate different related features for our training data set and to decide which features will be affecting demand for our food forcast model
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have successfully provided the User a platform to predict his demand without taking business risks with a 87% accuracy
What we learned
We have learned to work as team and gain hands on experience in real life problem solution
What's next for BrainlyFools-Food Delivery forecast Web app
Right now the Food Delivery for forecast app is limited to food category but later on we aim to scope out to other categories in the same manner helping to reduce business risks . Similarly we plan to collect the entered data from user as well which later be used to further enhance the model's accuracy
