Our project
During the COVID-19 pandemic, most people have found themselves working or studying from home. A major difficulty with online learning/working is the ability to remain focused. Our app, brainductive, aims to assist users in remaining focused and keeping productivity high.
Brainductive, a reminder app, utilises the Pomodoro technique, to assist with productivity and time management. The Pomodoro technique involves intervals of focused work and breaks, and has been shown to be an effective way in improving one’s productivity. In addition to sending reminders to study and take breaks, brainductive allows the user to input a personalised to-do list and picks from it, ensuring all tasks are done. The app also encourages healthy practices, suggesting a variety of break activities, like going for a walk or listening to music.
A large challenge we faced while developing the project was having to learn how to code. Being new to Hackathons, this was a key obstacle to overcome. Despite this, we are proud of our end result. The project achieves its intended function and is enjoyable to use. Overall we are all proud of what we have achieved at our very first Hackathon.
