Inspiration
I’m currently on a mission to bootstrap a business. I’m constantly multitasking, and when I’m away from my desk, I often think of new ideas, discover potential leads, or remember important tasks. Braindrop was created to capture those thoughts instantly before they get lost.
What it does
Braindrop turns voice notes into structured actions and sends them wherever they belong. It currently connects with Slack, ClickUp, custom webhooks, and a searchable personal inbox—with endless possibilities for future integrations.
How we built it
We built the Android app with React Native and Expo, backed by Node.js and Supabase. Speech transcription and AI extract useful details such as task titles, due dates, statuses, business names, and contacts.
Challenges we ran into
Honestly not much of a challenge with using GPT!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a working voice-to-action workflow with multiple configurable connectors, offline queuing, delivery status, retries, home-screen shortcuts, and an internal searchable inbox.
What we learned
The world is mine if I want it.
What's next for Braindrop
Next, we plan to add more connectors, improve AI extraction, expand inbox organization, and launch Braindrop publicly on Android.
