Inspiration
Our current generation are having shorter and shorter attention spans, spending more time on the web than ever. It's more important than ever to continue our interest in nature and earth. Of course, there are many personal gallaries of our beaultiful planet, but isn't it more important to share such experiences with others?
What it does
The website acts as a national library of photos for flowers and plants, where anyone can upload and view nature photos.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS for the visual (front-end) of the project, supported by JavaScript for animations, and Python Flask API to handle the data management. (Back-end)
Challenges we ran into
With everyone on the group being first time hackers, we ran into many integration problems relating to HTML and Python. However, we pushed through and completed our necessary functions.
What we learned
Many of us learned of the importance of code planning and collaboration. We've became very familiar with GitHub and Git through this experience.
