Inspiration
box protocol is created for investors new to web3 that might have limited investment knowledge, We recognized the need for a solution that allows investors to easily invest in a diverse portfolio of crypto assets representing different ideas and sectors in Web3. Additionally, we wanted to provide benefits such as flexibility, customization, and potential income for box creators.
What it does
Box Protocol enables investors to invest in a diverse portfolio of crypto assets through the use of ERC1155 tokens. Investors hold these tokens, which represent their share of the box, giving them full control and self-custody of their assets. The platform offers a Box Swap feature that allows users to rebalance their investments quickly based on market conditions, adding flexibility to investment management. Additionally, users can create personalized boxes of crypto assets through the Create Box feature and earn a commission on the trading volume generated by their custom box.
How we built it
During the development of Box Protocol, we faced several challenges. One of the challenges was creating a user-friendly interface for the DeFi app. We invested effort into designing a platform that users could easily understand and navigate, ensuring smooth asset and investment management.
Another challenge was developing the smart contracts that power Box Protocol. We encountered errors and bugs in the contract code, which required careful identification and resolution. We also focused on optimizing the efficiency of the smart contracts to save storage and gas.
Challenges we ran into
UX/UI Design: Creating a user-friendly interface for a DeFi app like Box Protocol was challenging. We needed to ensure that users could easily understand how to use the platform and manage their assets and investments effectively. Overcoming design challenges was crucial to the smooth functioning of the platform and its features.
Smart contract efficiency: Developing the smart contracts that power the Box Protocol app presented challenges. We encountered errors and bugs in the contract code that needed to be identified and fixed. Additionally, we had to ensure that our functions were implemented properly and in an efficient manner to save storage and gas.
