Inspiration

Users face these problems:

  • High burnout from stressful lifestyles.
  • Being immersed in work can take a toll on your mental health and people need to make time for themselves.
  • Managing what to do with their time and being reflective of when to take breaks.

A lot of people just go through their day staying burnt out and not being able to effectively manage time. Their effectiveness isn't that effective because it takes a toll on their mental health and their overall well-being. Thus, we thought of Boundary as a means to this prominent problem!

What it does

Our product, Boundary, addresses the solution because we allow users to schedule time into their days through timing breaks.

It allows users to put time aside from work and get reminded that they need to take a break. This increases productivity and the overall well being of people who try to find a balance between work and life.

How we built it

Using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and a database for the backend.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges that we ran into include our team being predominantly tech and CS focused, and so coming up with the business model was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We had a lot of fun creating this project, and we are also proud that we have a working prototype for our demo!

What we learned

How to take an idea and turn it to a prototype and a business model! :)

What's next for Boundary - Team 36

We plan to make Boundary a mobile application as well, and also launch it to secondary and post-secondary institutions for even more students like you and I to use!
