Last semester, I struggled a lot with anxiety. I found that keeping a thought journal really helped me calm down and overcome some of my anxiety. However, I regularly experienced difficulty writing journal entries when I was away from my computer.
BotherBot is your friendly, on-the-go assistant for thought journals. As you go about your day, if something comes up that bothers you (or lifts your spirits), you can message BotherBot on Facebook and they will save your thoughts for you. Then, once you've finished recording your thoughts, BotherBot will email you with a transcript of your thoughts so you can copy and paste it into your thought journal later.
This project is deployed on a single Azure Virtual Machine, but it utilizes Azure Storage Queues/Tables and microservice design patterns to better facilitate horizontal scaling if necessary in the future.
