While bots can take care of your orders, there's a need to also facilitate the interaction for request made to business owners and agents.
What it does
It handles an order requests on Google Assistant and sends it to business tools
How we built it
We used Google Actions and DialogFlow to take care of the order process and confirmation, then sent the order details to Slack for preparation. Dashbot analyzes the data and engagement to provide insights about the interactions.
Challenges we ran into
There's not a clear path were you can push messages to Google Assistant asynchronously (you can only answer user request, probably to avoid spamming users) so business side is limited on their ability to interact with the user. Most platforms have announced they will solve this limitation in the future.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a bot that could simplify and automate the process, but increasing the performance of the business and the user experience.
What we learned
Google Assistant API and SDK are pretty new so we learnt how to use it.
What's next for bot pop up
Increase the potential use case and figure out how the business could interact with the user fluently.
