BorrowIt Inspiration BorrowIt was inspired by a simple question: "Why do people have to buy expensive tools they only need once in a while?" In many communities especially in developing regions people struggle to access essential tools and equipment like tractors, construction gear, or sewing machines. Meanwhile, others have these resources sitting unused. BorrowIt bridges that gap. It's about sharing power: economic, social, and literal power (in the form of machines).
We also wanted to break the stigma that only small items can be shared. We wanted to go bigger tools, machines, vehicles, even job opportunities and still make it feel personal and local.
