Boredom Buster

Inspiration Boredom during breaks or downtime inspired a quick, no-login exploration app. We wanted something instant, fun, and educational.

🔹 What it does Users select a domain and get random facts/questions. Content appears on a themed page with “Next” for endless exploration.

🔹 How we built it Frontend: HTML, CSS, JS, dynamic redirection via URL parameters. Backend: Node.js + Express, MongoDB for domain-based random content.

🔹 Challenges Random data fetching and empty domains caused initial issues. Passing domain state between pages without login needed careful handling.

🔹 Accomplishments Fully functional, visually appealing, zero-login app. Domain-specific themes and random content work flawlessly.

🔹 What we learned User-first design, backend-frontend integration, URL parameter state. Debugging, MongoDB queries, and delivering a creative, simple idea.

🔹 What’s next Add AI-generated content, popularity tracking, and user submissions. Mobile-friendly design and public deployment for real-world use.
