The project began at #OneDayKC, a 12-hour innovation workshop for students in the KC area to leverage civic technology and new infrastructure projects to build ventures for a smart city.

Bopp uses real-time data from Twitter and Instagram to determine what parts of downtown KC are boppin' with activity. Users can locate bars, restaurants, music venues, and more near the new KC Streetcar line. Local businesses can market to customers and encourage users to tweet and post photos to increase their "Bopp score," which is an indication of social activity.
