Inspiration
Finding the right DJ for an event is still surprisingly fragmented. Hosts and businesses often rely on social media posts, recommendations, phone calls, and long message threads—without knowing whether a DJ is available or suitable for the event.
At the same time, DJs need a professional way to showcase their work, manage availability, receive structured opportunities, and build trust with potential clients.
I created Boothly to bring those workflows together in one bilingual marketplace designed for the Greek events industry.
What it does
Boothly connects hosts and businesses with DJs through a structured event-booking workflow.
Hosts and businesses can:
- Discover DJs through professional profiles
- Review music styles, portfolios, event media, and availability
- Create structured event briefs
- Send requests directly to suitable DJs
- Receive and compare offers
- Exchange messages and coordinate the final details
- Leave reviews after completed collaborations
DJs can:
- Create a professional public profile
- Upload profile and event media
- Publish their availability
- Import external calendar commitments through iCal
- Receive event opportunities that match their schedule
- Submit offers and communicate with potential clients
- Manage requests, bookings, notifications, and reviews
Boothly supports both Greek and English, making the complete experience accessible to local professionals and international event organizers.
Intelligent event briefs
Boothly includes an AI-assisted event brief tool that helps users turn an informal event description into structured requirements.
The assistant extracts useful information such as:
- Event type
- Date and location
- Expected attendance
- Music preferences
- Technical requirements
- Important planning notes
The generated result remains editable, allowing the user—not the AI—to make the final decision.
Availability-aware matching
A major goal was to make availability meaningful rather than decorative.
Boothly checks event requests against:
- Availability windows entered by the DJ
- Existing Boothly bookings
- Imported iCal commitments
- Overnight events
- Scheduling buffers before and after bookings
This helps prevent hosts from sending unsuitable requests and reduces unnecessary back-and-forth.
Trust and safety
Boothly includes separate workspaces and permissions for hosts, businesses
