Booth students with similar travel patterns lack a reliable, cost-effective platform to connect with trusted peers for shared rides, leading them to trade off convenience for cost savings. Students must decide between unreliability of public transit or high costs of Ubers or Lyfts. In addition, Booth students have concerns with safety and need to travel to and from campus at odd hours.
We can see the Booth students are already looking to create this solution on their own, with students seeking out folks to share Uber and Lyft costs with in the WhatsApp. We want to formalize this and make it easy to find fellow students to share a ride with and reduce costs for everyone.
