Boost Operations Log Tracking System (BOLT)

🚀 Inspiration

In the modern remote-first world, tracking employee productivity is more critical—and more challenging—than ever. Our team was inspired by this problem and aimed to build a solution that not only monitors performance but also promotes transparency, accountability, and work-life balance.

🛠️ What We Built

We developed BOLT (TrackFlow v2.1.0), a comprehensive Employee Productivity & Activity Tracking System. BOLT helps organizations gain real-time insights into team performance while empowering employees to self-manage and stay focused.

Key Features:

• Dashboard: Real-time overview of active time, productivity scores, tasks completed, and focus hours.
• Activity Monitor: Tracks application and website usage with productivity scoring.
• Screenshot Monitoring: Captures encrypted screenshots at intervals with privacy settings and review workflows.
• Task Management: Assign, track, and prioritize tasks with time tracking and progress bars.
• Team Chat & Notifications: Lightweight internal messaging and alerts.
• Settings Panel: Profile management, job roles, and department info.

🧩 How We Built It

• Frontend: React.js + TailwindCSS for a modern, responsive UI
• Backend: Node.js with Express, MongoDB for data storage
• Tracking: Electron for desktop app integration (for activity & screenshot monitoring)
• Security: JWT-based authentication for secure user access
• Real-time Data: WebSocket and REST APIs for smooth communication between modules

• Deep integration between frontend and Electron-based tracking services
