According to data from World Population Prospects: by 2050, one in six people in the world will be over age 65. While the population is getting older, the companies are still against the idea to hire seniors. Many elderly people avoid entering selective processes for fear of being excluded due to prejudice. In Brazil, the unemployment rate is 40% in old age, but that is a problem happening all around the world.
What it does
Boomers is a way to give the chance for baby boomers to feel integrated in the work environment again, but in a new way. The platform focus in having an easy interface, which permits fluid interaction between both generations.
For youngers, the focus will be on providing a general knowledge platform where they can learn with the old generation, to catch advices and points of views that just a real life experience can give them.
For companies, it would be a way to publicize available jobs opportunities at a fair price and have a database available to find new talent. We will also disclose profiles that provide higher quality content so that they also have the opportunity to return to the job market.
How we built it
We built our app using software called Adalo and focused on making it simple for users.
Challenges we ran into
Learn how to use a new tool and become an UX designers in less than 24 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We lost a member responsible for the design part and had to rethink about all of our idea. We believe that facing this difficulty and ending with a new product even with zero experience in each part that involved the process of creating it was something that made us proud.

Mature the project and look for partners to turn it into reality
