Inspiration
Our inspiration was to a more affordable way for college students get things they need.
What it does
Boomerang facilitates a secure and easy way to rent items from students in the same university.
How we built it
We used GitHub to collaborate, and used Node.js, Next.js, Vercel, Python, HTML, and CSS to build our project.
Challenges we ran into
Working with some new databases.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is the first hackathon almost all of our team has attended, and we're proud of
What we learned
We learned how to code in new languages, make APIs, and use Natural Language Processing.
What's next for Boomerang
We are planning to extend this service to every university using their respective authentications (e.g. CalNet for UC Berkeley) rather than with Gmail.
