Boomerang

Inspiration

Using ChatGPT is annoying because you have to learn how to prompt it correctly to get the answers you want. Using Cluely is annoying because it only applies to certain use-cases. It doesn't "see everything you see" or "hear everything you hear." We wanted to find a solution.

What it does

Boomerang is a productivity booster that was originally meant to be a prompt enhancer for ChatGPT. As a chrome extension, Boomerang takes your prompt to ChatGPT, and evaluates it on many metrics like tonality, ambiguity, and structure.

How we built it

We built Boomerang using a simple n8n workflow, a lot of testing, and a ton of vibecoding.

Challenges we ran into

Testing whether or not our AI agents could actually give us the results we were hoping for was challenging because to some extent it was just trial and error without knowing how far off we were from perfecting an AI agent to reach our goal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a workflow with many AI agents that can precisely evaluate user context to an extreme extent. Using this, we can accurately assume and predict the user's plans which lets us boost their productivity by proactively suggesting prompts, tasks, and plans to the user.

What we learned

To put this into full-scale production, we need to migrate our agents from n8n to our own self-hosted system with efficient LMs, or use Novita AI to do so.

What's next for Boomerang

We believe we can revolutionize the entire vibe-working industry with a true AI shadow that can understand user input and context effectively even better than a real human would.
