Inspiration

When I had finished elementary school and was promoted to high school. The textbooks and all the materials were super expensive. Whereas I was able to recycle my elder sisters textbooks for nearly nothing.

What it does

It helps students find their study material that is textbooks by connecting them to their seniors who had studied the subject before them

How we built it

We are yet to build any kind of platform and are still at the brainstorming stage.

Challenges we ran into

We are yet to find out about how we can do a condition check of the textbooks.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I had suggested my friend to try using old textbooks from his seniors and it cost him only 300 rupees; whereas new textbooks would cost him more than 5000 rupees.

What we learned

We learn from this there is no need to throw away old books instead find someone who finds good use of it.

What's next for Bookshelf

We are trying to take help from school management systems to help introduce bookshelf to their students.
