Many people are bored of reading, but finding books to read has never been more simple with this website!

Inspiration

We thought about how education could be made better, and we thought about making books easier to find and making reading less boring, so that we could learn better through reading.

What it does

Books Made Simple finds books in a database and recommends the best books for your genre of choice.

How we built it

We used Next.js, GSAP, typescript and our hard work and determination to create this app by coding the website by ourselves and using a library database to find books.

Challenges we ran into

The first time we started creating this, we realized that we bit off a bit more than we could chew with our first idea, and decided to pivot into a new repo and change how our website worked around lunchtime.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of making a functional website that allows us to find books easily by genres that we like.

What we learned

We learned that we should definitely get to know our teammates better and work well with them, and to manage our time properly.

What's next for Books Made Simple

Major reworks in our user interface and ease of use, as that wasn't really a priority for us going into the development process.
