What inspired this?

I was inspired by the struggles that I faced in high school when I needed a tutor for a small part of a subject and couldn't afford to pay the total cost of tutoring. Recently when I saw my little sister's also struggling with just a few bits and pieces, I thought maybe I should build something for that kind of student.

How does it work?

Booklity allows students to upload images of specific problems that they need help with, then other students on the platform can help out and earn points. Students also verify the answers by using the "like" button at the bottom of the response. Points can be redeemed as mobile data or goods (stationary, clothing etc.).. Answers can be text, image, video or audio.

How is it built?

At first I tried to build it using Flutter but I just couldn't get it right so I resolved to no-code platforms for a MVP.

What challenges did I go through?

The challenge was coding it out because I wasn't familiar with the coding language. Another challenge is actually getting users for the test phase.

Accomplishments

So far after internal testing it works surprisingly well.

What's next for Booklity?

The current step is to get this platform to the wilderness and let actual students use it. Once this is proven, then I will focus on building a more solid final product and then start monetizing it.
