BookingBox-TX is a homestay/hotel booking Decentralized Application which leverages the power of Blockchain Technology to provide reliable accommodation for people, workers and students alike.

Inspiration

Blockchain technology provides a better security to data in compare to traditional ways where everything is centralized and mutable. The transparency builds user's trust. The flaws which are being solved by this system are exploiting user data such as Contact Details and Legal Details, there is no middleman, the system is completely open-source and run by the community of same people such as users.

What it does

BookingBox-TX is a homestay/hotel booking Decentralized Application which leverages the power of Blockchain Technology to provide reliable accommodation for people, workers and students alike.

How we built it

The smart contract is deployed on Lightlink Pegasus Testnet and the complete application is being built using technologies like Solidity, NextJS, Redux Toolkit, Hardhat and Ethers.

Challenges we ran into

building and deploying to the pegases testnet, it is a relatively new blockchain so we had issues with deployment at first but we were able to conquer it at the end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing the project before the end of the hackathon and being able to test and make all features were working properly

What we learned

We learnt better communication as a team, which helped to improve our team work

What's next for BookingBox-TX

Integration with other blockchains and deploying to the real world to provide reliable rooms and hostels for people
