Inspiration

  • Other sites that allow car rentals from airports.

What it does

  • Attempts to take in a booking using React.

How we built it

  • Uses Akka for the HTTP server & attempting to use Actors to handle the machine learning task.
  • Using React to construct the frontend.

Challenges we ran into

  • Trying to teach/learn Scala (with the Akka libraries), Typescript & React.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Everyone learned a new language & technology.

What we learned

  • Using Typescript with React
  • Using Scala with Akka
  • Using Git & Github to collaborate

What's next for Booking helper

We intend to finish this project off in our own time, without environmental discomfort.
