Inspiration

Over $5 trillion is lost globally to accounting fraud. Traditional accounting relies on trust and manual processes that are easily manipulated. We wanted to create a system where financial records are as tamper-proof as blockchain technology itself while automating the whole process to not only reduce the amount of mistakes made in accounting, but also increase the amount of free times company owners have by having their own financial assistant helping them throughout the whole process.

What it does

booki with the use of an advanced netwrok of fetchai uagents, automatically processes invoices and financial documents, then permanently records them on the Sui blockchain. It uses AI agents to extract data, verify transactions, and create an unchangeable audit trail. Every transaction gets cryptographically sealed and can never be altered.

How we built it

We built a full-stack system with fetch AI uagents that process documents using Claude, record everything on the Sui blockchain, and store data on Supabase. The frontend is built with Next.js and provides real-time dashboards, while autonomous agents handle document processing, reconciliation, and audit verification without human intervention.

Challenges we ran into

For our team developing blockchain technology was brand new to us so one of our biggest hurdles was just getting over the learning curve and learning how to integrate the whole process into the traditional accounting workflow.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Created a working system that processes real invoices and stores them immutably on blockchain. Automated the entire accounting workflow with a network of Fetchai uagents that handle the entire document-to-blockchain pipeline. Developed a user-friendly interface that makes complex blockchain operations simple for accountants and business owners.

What we learned

Blockchain technology can solve real-world accounting problems when combined with AI. The key is making complex technology feel simple and trustworthy. Users care more about preventing fraud and saving time than understanding the technical details.
