Inspiration

The inspiration behind "Book of Art" came from our shared love for storytelling and visual arts. As a group, we aimed to create a platform that utilizes AI to convert text prompts into personalized, captivating picture books. We are passionate about making creativity and self-expression accessible to all, regardless of one's writing experience. Our collective vision is to blend literature and visual art, crafting unique stories that bridge the gap between words and imagery, and inspire creativity through a visually engaging medium.

What it does

Book of Art, powered by AI, transforms your creativity into vivid picture books. With up to 5 prompts, it crafts engaging stories by generating 3 unique images per prompt. Your imagination shapes the narrative as text meets visuals, making storytelling an enchanting experience.

How we built it

We harnessed the OpenAI API to both enhance prompts with rich storytelling and to generate stunning visuals. By generating vivid stories and captivating images, we created our web app, Book of Art, to bring your ideas to life using Flask to connect the backend to the frontend.

Challenges we ran into

Our main challenge revolved around seamlessly connecting the frontend and backend of our application. Integrating the storytelling capabilities of the OpenAI API with our web interface required dedicated effort and problem-solving.
