You know how sometimes you forget your book at school, or maybe your textbook? Fear not, our discord bot will provide you with an ample amount of resources ranging from non-fiction to fiction novels.

Inspiration

Our experiences as struggling students trying to find resources online.

What it does

It provides tons of resources to access various texts, ranging from fantasy novels to research papers.

How we built it

We used an API in Python to access all the information about the different texts. We created commands that people could call and then the discord bot would provide them with information.

Challenges we ran into

Finding a reliable API and integrating new features while still maintaining the structure of our previous functions

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of not only our ability to code a program like this but also our ability to debug and find errors. We're also proud of our teamwork!

What we learned

We learned that coding individually may not be as efficient as coding in groups so one person can monitor what the other person is doing

What's next for Book Bot

Adding more features that increase efficiency, such as scrolling through multiple results, and adding more types of media.
