Inspiration

We wanted to make 3D avatars with traits representing culturally connected modern fashion that people can identify with.

That lead us to creating Skeletons that are aesthetically very appealing & naturally embrace inclusivity.

We wanted to deploy both Dope Art and a Concept we could build a Community around.

As a community aiming to be inclusive, the art of the skellies naturally assists us in that regard.

Besides.. :)

Skeletons are Cool. Halloween before Christmas is cool. Grim Fandango is Cool, Skeletor is cool.

People love their skellies.

What it does

Future of Personal Representation in the Metaverse. We provide a way for people to collect art they can appreciate and identify with. We provide a way for people to express the aesthetics they care about and to show that to people.

PFP projects also provide a sense of community and belonging.  I think there will be many more projects like this.

Giving people a new way to interface with the 3D metaverse that is right on our doorstep through NFTs.

How we built it

Painfully with Cinema 4D. rendering layers, then hand painting shadows so they match together nicely with the layers.

We wanted to bring out taste in aesthetics to the PFP world.

Challenges we ran into

Launch, mint, hate. The pace at which we have to keep producing to keep people entertained. We didn’t quite imagine the amount of community involvement that came with a PFP projects. It’s both a bit overwhelming and SUPER exciting! Creating in front of an audience of collectors who love your work is like nothing we’ve ever done before. 

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our great and positive and friendly community. It really feels more and more like family every day! The art we created which so many people are able to be really passionate about. People REALLY do love their Skellies.

What we learned

That it’s possible for artists to interact and make a career directly with their audience, instead of being the middle man trying to help a corporation sell something irrelevant. 

What's next for Boneworld

Collaboration with 3D NFT game companies. The ability to take your skelly with you wherever you go in the metaverse. Racing Games, Fighting Games, just regular VR hangouts with friends.
