Inspiration

Healthcare workers have been extremely stressed since the pandemic began. When stressed, it is easy to forget the little things that help us relax and feel good. We wanted to provide a service that acts as a reminder and a guide to take the time to improve the quality of your life.

What it does

In simple steps, we help healthcare workers improve their mood by filling out a short mental health assessment and providing guidance on how to better their current state.

How we built it

After deciding on our mission and our target audience, our three developers collaborated on a MERN stack app. Through excellent teamwork and communication, we were able to develop a working demo of our app.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was narrowing down our product's features. In the wellness space, it is easy to want to help in every aspect of health. After clarifying who we wanted to help and how, we were able to easily jump into development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we were able to build out most of the features. It was also a big accomplishment to fully flesh out our idea and business strategy.

What we learned

We learned that approaching this specific market isn't so straightforward. We had to consider the age demographic of most healthcare workers and that many may not be tech savvy. We also understand that many of these workers have a busy and stressful schedule so they may not have the time to build habits that take up too much time.

What's next for Bond

For the product, we hope to add in extra features, including an accountability partner pairing system, to help users follow through with their health goals. Our long term goal is to work with hospitals to provide our programming to their staff, bettering overall happiness and patient interactions.
