Bolt Stack Journal is a lightweight, public journaling tool for developers building with Bolt.new. It was inspired by the idea that consistent, small updates lead to big results—and that sharing your build journey in public can help you stay motivated, accountable, and connected with other builders.

The idea sparked when I came across a post by @seb_vibe, the creator of boltwins.site. His project showed how powerful a simple, focused Bolt.new app can be. Thank you so much, Sev, for the inspiration. I wanted to create a space where makers could post quick, daily logs without the overhead of setting up accounts, writing full blog posts, or managing dashboards. Inspired by tools like GitHub’s contribution graph and the energy of daily Twitter/X updates, I envisioned a place to capture the momentum of building in public—optimized for speed and minimalism.

The stack is intentionally simple: React + TypeScript for the frontend, styled with Tailwind CSS, and powered by Supabase on the backend with open inserts and public reads. The design is mobile-first with dark/light mode, clean typography, and subtle animations. Lucide icons and an emoji mood selector add just the right amount of personality. No authentication, no complexity—just fast journaling. Through this project, I learned how to work with Supabase’s open access features, implement real-time updates, and deliver a fast, expressive UI. The biggest challenges were designing a responsive feed, minimizing friction while preserving safety, and ensuring a joyful user experience. Bolt Stack Journal is a reflection of the Bolt.new philosophy: move fast, build fast, and share often. I hope it encourages more developers to show up, ship daily, and inspire others with their journey.
