Inspiration

As MVP developers, we waste hours tweaking layouts, writing boilerplate code, and jumping between design and dev tools. We wanted a tool that takes your idea and turns it into a functional, editable landing page instantly , without templates or fluff. That’s where Bolt.new comes in.

What it does

Bolt.new is an AI-powered site builder that transforms plain text prompts into beautiful, editable landing pages , in seconds. You describe what you want, and Bolt generates a fully responsive website you can customize, export, or publish instantly.

Challenges we ran into

• Getting consistent layout outputs from AI was tricky , we had to fine-tune prompt engineering and apply constraints on generated HTML.
• Building a live editor that’s flexible yet intuitive took a lot of UI/UX iteration.
• Ensuring mobile responsiveness while keeping code clean and readable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• End-to-end generation of functional websites from a single sentence.
• Real-time editable layouts with zero-code customization.
• Built and shipped the full MVP in under a week using our own tool.

What we learned

• AI-assisted frontend generation is powerful, but only when paired with strong UX and editor logic.
• Developers don’t want just AI-generated code — they want control, speed, and clean results.
• A simple interface with tight feedback loops makes a huge difference.

What's next for Bolt

• Add support for multi-page websites and basic animations.
• Introduce AI section suggestions (CTAs, pricing tables, testimonials).
• Allow one-click export to GitHub or Vercel.
• Launch a public template library powered by user-submitted Bolt creations.
• Open up an API to let others embed Bolt into their own workflows or platforms.
