BOLT is a control and orchestration layer for multi-step AI workflows. It provides explicit permissions, human approval gates, policy constraints, retry and recovery controls, model routing, budget awareness and structured execution traces. For this hackathon, the project direction is to connect an Alexa+ interaction to a governed BOLT workflow so consequential actions can be approved, denied, recovered or escalated. The prototype is a native macOS application with modular approval, policy, provider, transport, sandbox, verification, credential and Git-checkpoint components. The main challenge is preserving a fluid conversational experience while keeping execution boundaries explicit and auditable. Next we will implement and test the Alexa+ integration, measure completion and recovery rates, and refine approval placement for low-friction trustworthy automation.
