Inspiration

Organizing a simple weekend road trip in Surabaya shouldn't require "ping-ponging" between Google Maps, BMKG for weather, and random blogs for ticket prices. We wanted an assistant that feels like texting a friend who is a logistics expert—someone who understands local context like "besok Sabtu" (this Saturday) and handles the "stitching together" of data that usually takes 30–60 minutes.

What it does

BolangTravel is a Telegram bot that turns one Bahasa Indonesia message into a complete, ready-to-navigate itinerary in under a minute.

Send it something like:

"Mau jalan-jalan di Surabaya besok Sabtu, suka kuliner malam & wisata alam, berangkat dari Tunjungan Plaza"

…and the agent will:

Search candidate places on Google Maps (wisata alam, kuliner malam, …). Open each one to verify it's actually open on Saturday — closed places are filtered out. Pick the best 3–5 stops and order them as a sensible route. Pull a multi-stop route with distance, duration, a shareable maps.app.goo.gl short link, and screenshots. Compare four travel modes side by side: Motor · Mobil · Bus/Trans. Umum · Jalan Kaki. Fetch a BMKG weather forecast for the destination on the trip day and suggest what to bring. Reply with one structured, Telegram-friendly message + inline screenshots of the route and each place. Other niceties:

Live GPS context — share your location once via Telegram and "dari sini" just works. Saved home — /setrumah lets you ask for a route home in one line. Conversational memory — a 6-turn rolling window so you can refine ("ganti tempat ke-2 dengan museum").

How we built it

vibe coding it

Challenges we ran into

AI kuota limit and limited token. We vibe coding it so hard, the cursor pro is not enough.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we can access it via telegram and the output is a screenshot of google maps of places as well as the direction of travel we want

What we learned

setup AI agents with openclaw

What's next for BolangTravel

integrate it with other tools for ticket payment or anything related to travel things
