This is a website we created with an interactive AI that will prepare you for your first date and give you helpful tips and tricks regarding fashion, date ideas, and advice on how to be yourself.

Inspiration

We were inspired by how many people struggle on first dates and now that romance is a popular topic in college. The use of AI in this topic can help people who often struggle with coming up with ideas and what to say.

What it does

Our website prompts the user on different important aspects of the first date like fashion and date ideas, from there the user can ask unique questions to get specific feedback. The goal of our website is to help people who have an upcoming first date, and can even help with asking them out to a date.

How we built it

We first used an API key and python to help print out custom prompts into our backend code and then used Flask and HTML to incorporate this into a public website with a URL.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with making our idea into a website and understanding how to integrate Gemini AI into it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That we were able to create a customized working website and incorporate our backend into a working UI.

What we learned

We learned how to use API keys to help generate AI in our code and how to use python to help customize it and a little bit of HTML too.

What's next for Boiler Match

We can expand this into a full fledge dating website and customize the UI to make it more personalized.
