Body Mass Index Calculator

This project is about informing the public about their health regarding to their body mass index (BMI). This is a measurement that tells if someone is overweight, underweight, obese, or healthy. The inspiration comes from the increasing lack of awareness of body weights, especially in the United States, as some fast food restaurants are becoming more prevelant and the wage gap is widening. The project is built on CodeHS, where we coded in java. We learned various concepts like methods, objects, classes, JOptionPane, JButtons, and more. The challenge we faced was that we started with little knowledge on how to make a frame and incorporate various elements of java into the program. We overcame this by researching and using books to understand and apply the concepts to our program.
