A PWA to help anyone of any age, skill level or language to hopefully aid them in saving someone's life.
How is it built?
A django based web app using HTML and CSS for markup.
Challenges we ran into
Having to relearn/learn django from scratch (_ help _) Various annoying issues with CSS Merging our front and backend (something none of us have ever done)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to produce something we're proud of within 42hrs (when we've all never attending a hackathon and are all novices in the technologies used.
What we learned
Just how much work making a website can be!
What's next for sendHelp?
Continue to streamline the process to make it even easier for users. Finish implementation of less emergency focused features to allow more regular usage of the PWA. Continue to improve the visuals to support the ease of use of the application.
