Inspiration
Inspired by my and my friends' love for bubble tea, Bobastic Tea Restaurant puts you right in the shoes of the tireless workers who bring us the amazing beverage, allowing us to appreciate it in a whole new level.
What it does
Bobastic Tea Restaurant is a fun web game about managing your own boba store and making orders for clients.
How I built it
I built it using HTML, CSS, and JS for a pure web game, utilizing many tricks in the book to bring this all together.
Challenges I ran into
I ran into several challenges, including implementation and management of several moving parts, ensuring everything worked as seamlessly as possible, and finding clever solutions to many minor problems encountered along the way.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud that I was able to build this entire game by myself, since it was a huge challenge and I was not able to delegate any tasks to teammates to save any time. I am also immensely proud that I was able to take this simple concept and, through my own blood, sweat, and tears, built my vision for this game and this project as close to how I envisioned it as possible.
What I learned
I learned many things, not only about coding, but also about soft skills. I learned how to manage my time even better, how to solve problems and iron out wrinkles, and how to get to exactly where I want to be. I also learned a lot about JS and HTML, including game design and graphic design with HTML.
What's next for Bobastic Tea Restaurant
I hope to not only polish the game up to look even better, but to also add several new features, such as a proper difficulty change, more different types of customization, random events, and even a port to become a browser extension game as opposed to only a website game.
