Inspiration

We couldn't figure out how to do our original idea, so we went with an idea that we had a long time ago when we started spending too much money on bubble tea 7 hours before the project deadline, and found it too difficult to track.

What it does

Right now its fairly limited because we were unable to get firebase implementation working right off the bat, and it would have taken at least another day or two before we could get any of the actual ideas implemented properly.

How I built it

I made a Google Firebase project with a real-time database and used android studio to develop it.

Challenges I ran into

Getting the Google Firebase Database to cooperate with my code was a challenge and led to a certain amount of bad general coding practices. Also, we couldn't figure out how to use GitHub at all, so we had to restart the project a number of times until we could figure out a good system of working with each other and streamlining the process.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Making a working Google Firebase real-time Database and implementing working callbacks into the code in the form of a userID + password login system stored purely on the database.

Learning how to script in XML from scratch

What I learned

How to make a Google Firebase real-time Database. How to read/write data to a GFR-TD. Generally a lot about app development and UI/UX.

How to program in Java.

What's next for Boba Tracker

We would like to implement our original ideas using the Google Maps API to locate boba shops nearby instead of forcing the user to manually input the shops.
