Inspiration

Early-stage founders make high-stakes decisions with limited resources. They may have a great idea, but they rarely have immediate access to a CFO, CTO, CMO, legal advisor, or experienced investor who can challenge that idea from different perspectives.

We wanted to recreate that experience using AI.

That idea became Boardroom AI — a virtual boardroom where founders can put their startup idea in front of multiple AI executives and receive honest, structured criticism before investing significant time or money.

Our core belief is simple:

Don't ask AI if your idea is good. Put your idea in a boardroom where AI challenges it.

What it does

Boardroom AI is a multi-agent AI decision-support platform for startup founders.

A founder submits their startup idea, description, funding stage, and supporting information. The platform then brings the idea into a virtual AI boardroom consisting of specialized executives:

CEO • CTO • CFO • CMO • Legal • VC

Each executive analyzes the startup from a different perspective and challenges assumptions relevant to their domain.

Instead of simply generating six separate responses, our Boardroom Orchestrator manages the discussion and decides which executive should speak next based on factors such as relevance, fairness, disagreement, founder questions, and recency.

After the debate, Boardroom AI generates:

  • SWOT analysis
  • Risk assessment
  • Investment score
  • Executive-wise scorecards
  • Key objections and weaknesses
  • Fact-checked claims
  • Actionable recommendations
  • Final verdict

The goal is to give founders board-level scrutiny in minutes instead of weeks.

How we built it

We built Boardroom AI as a full-stack web application using:

  • Next.js 16 + TypeScript for the application
  • Supabase for authentication, database, and backend services
  • Groq + Llama models for the AI executive agents
  • Tavily for web research and fact-checking
  • Edge TTS / Piper TTS for voice interaction
