Inspiration
I was inspired when my friend wanted to track his heart rate and recovery but did not want to pay for an expensive wearable or another monthly subscription. I realized that our phones already have the technology needed to make health tracking more accessible.
What it does
QuickBeat uses your phone’s camera to provide a daily health briefing in just 30 seconds. It tracks metrics like heart rate, HRV, recovery, and sleep quality without needing a wearable or subscription.
How we built it
We built QuickBeat by combining smartphone camera technology, biometric signal processing, and health analytics to turn camera data into simple, actionable insights.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was making biometric tracking accurate and reliable across different phones, lighting conditions, and users.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a working prototype that delivers wearable-like health insights using only a smartphone, removing the need for expensive devices and subscriptions.
What we learned
We learned that health data is highly valuable when it is easy to understand and helps users make better decisions.
What's next for QuickBeat
We plan to improve accuracy, expand testing, and add more personalized health insights to help users better understand and optimize their daily performance.
