Wanted to try creating a block explorer for a new chain

What it does

Displays transactions and history for 4 different BAS testnets!

Challenges we ran into

Minimal documentation and dev support around running an archive node for BAS sidechains. Since BAS is so new, a lot of infrastructure and tooling for the ecosystem hasn't been created yet!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We figured out how to get transaction histories for an address without direct access to an archive node

What we learned

There are always weird quirks for EVM-based software when you move off Ethereum

What's next for BAS Block Explorer

We can make queries more performant and we can easily add more sidechains as they go live.
