The city of Baltimore feels underrepresented. Many residents may not have the time or resources to attend City Council meetings, making it harder for their voices to be heard. As a group, we noticed that Baltimore has many broken-down and neglected areas. Although there are websites that document where there are infrastructure issues in Baltimore county, there is only communication in one direction. Community members can see the issues but cannot effectively voice their opinion. Bmore SpeakUp is a website that allows community members to engage in issues important to them. Key challenges we faced was effectively pulling data into the map, uploading the html into a fully functioning website, and allowing multiple users to see live updates on what osiers are most important.
